is important to be aware of. I was surprised to learn that grapefruit juice must not be used if you take certain blood pressure or cholesterol medications.Licorice is contraindicated if you are on blood pressure medicine, as is any cold medicine that ends in the suffix "-fed".

grapefruit and grapefruit juice is a problem with any of the statin drugs.
I understand that something in grapefruit juice inactivates one of the digestive enzymes, so that you end up with an overdose of the statin,
It seems strange that grapefruit juice is considered to be a healthy food for those not on certain meds.
